Caitlyn and David’s story began in the most unexpected way at a mutual friend’s house, crowded around a chaotic game of Cards Against Humanity (lame I know). They kept choosing each other’s cards, laughing at how in sync their sense of humor was. At the time, it just felt like a funny coincidence that made them instantly connect. Later, David admitted he was picking Caitlyn’s on purpose—just to get her attention. Whether it was strategy or fate, it worked.

 

They crossed paths again in a local community theatre production, Oklahoma. They were both just expecting a fun summer show, but God clearly had something much bigger in mind.

 

The first time they truly spoke, what was meant to be a quick conversation turned into seven uninterrupted hours of talking about everything that mattered—dreams, family, the future, and the life they each hoped to build one day. Once the sunrise began, David walked Caitlyn to her car, kissed her on the forehead & said goodnight. That week, Caitlyn told her mother, “There's no way I don't marry this man.” That same week, David told his father, “Trust me she’s the one.” Yes, it does sounds crazy. But somehow, they both just knew.

 

From that night forward, they were all in. Their relationship grew quickly but intentionally, rooted in honesty, respect, and a sense of ease they’d never experienced before. They became best friends, each other’s loudest cheerleaders, quietest comforts, & constant source of laughter.

 

Their story isn’t defined by extreme grand gestures or perfect moments in life, but rather on the small, everyday ones that matter most. Deep conversations until 3 am, shared music playlists, screaming karaoke songs on road-trips, cooking dinner together, dancing in the kitchen, and simply enjoying each other’s company. Ordinary moments that, when had together, feel like home.

 

With the love and support of their incredible friends and family, Caitlyn and David have built a relationship rooted in intention, and an easy kind of love that still feels like the biggest gift. Now, they’re stepping into the next chapter, grateful for the story that brought them here, and so ready for the rest of their lives forever!
